The Sale of Goods resources on Insite Law are intended to provide a guide to The Sale of Goods Act 1979 - Over view text, law reports, news items, article abstracts and the like... this is, inevitably, a work in progress. I have set up a blog (See header) for analysis, articles, news - and I shall start to post the latest cases on Sale of Goods and analysis very shortly.
The textbook below does not purport to be anything other than a 'guide'and is not, obviously, a substitute for the leading texts.
I welcome articles, casenotes, commentaries etc from practitioners, academics and students alike - and you will, of course, receive full credit.
While I have done a quick scan of recent developments I am currently reviewing caselaw over the past two years and the Sale of Goods text will be signed off as up to date when I have completed this by 10th August.
It has been through a first update process - but there are a few recent cases in the last two to three months which may have an impact
Please note that thie text will be fleshed out even further in parts where it is thin or just set out in skeleton form. I recommend |Professor Atiyah's book, The Sale of Goods, now edited By John N Adams and Hector McQueen. There is a new edition coming in March 2010,
This project is a 'work in progress' and I plan to add International Sales and Agency soon. I shall also be updating my Consumer Credit materials and make these freely available. I plan to write analyses of recent cases as they come out and these will appear in the Articles section and the accompanying blog.
